Writing Series for Public Relations Professionals
Three-Part Fall Writing Workshops Series
is designed to help PR professionals sharpen their
writing skills and get specific instruction on
effectively writing for the new media. Register
for one, two or all three. Thanks to University
of Baltimore's School of Communications Design,
our event co-sponsor.
Part 1 – Critiqued Writing Session:
September 23 with Jean Miskimon, APR,
President of JeanInkPR. Whether you’re new
to the field or considered seasoned, as PR professionals
we all need to be the sharpest writers we can
be. This session looks at writing in a general
sense with a focus on what makes effective writing.
This is a critiqued writing session with the choice
of submitting a press release or a pitch letter
a week prior to the program. Save – register
by Monday, Sept. 20 for the Early Bird Pricing.
Part 2 – Writing for SEO: October
7 with David Aglar, VP of Weber Shandwick’s
Digital Practice. Writing a pitch letter is different
than writing a release; writing with SEO in mind
is a whole different animal altogether. This session
focuses on how to write for the web-based world.
Save – register by Monday, Oct. 4 for the
Early Bird Pricing.
Download the handouts and slide presentation.
Part 3 – Writing for Blogging:
November 18 with Johna Burke, Senior
VP of Marketing at BurrellesLuce. So many people
have a blog, but how many are successful? How
many engage the reader, and invite loyal followers
and dialogue? Find out how to write – and
create – a successful blog. Save –
register by Monday, Nov. 15 for the Early Bird
Pricing.

of Communications Design, our event co-sponsor.
