PRSA-MD Mentoring Program
Have a couple hours to give back to the profession?
PRSA-MD Mentoring Program Round One Applications Due by October 15
PRSA Maryland has launched a mini-Mentoring program that fits into a professional’s busy schedule so you can give back to the profession that’s given you so much. Our first round kicks off Nov. 1, 2015 and ends April 30, 2016.
Are you the right Mentor for the program? Yes, if you are an established public relations practitioner who would like to help the next generation of professionals.
Is our program right for you? Yes, it connects you with interested and engaged new professionals for a short-term program. You and your mentee set the schedule – and it can be mostly electronic and by phone. As a bonus, those with APR certification earn two Continuing Education credits.
The commitment? It’s only a six-month commitment, but you’ll gain a lifetime’s worth of professional satisfaction and knowledge. We estimate 2-4 hours a month over 6-months.
Openings for Mentees too! So if you know a young professional who wants to learn more about successfully navigating the public relations industry, share our contact info with them.
How It Works
Once you submit your application and are accepted, you will be paired. Then, simply initiate the conversation by contacting your mentoring partner. Generally communication occurs via phone and email. Plus, the Mentoring Program will have a few planned events throughout the year, such as happy hours and other activities.
