Nneka Jenkins is a seasoned writer, highly-skilled editor, and marcom synergist. During the last six years, Ms. Jenkins has been working in Marketing Communications at Kaiser Permanente. In previous roles, Ms. Jenkins worked in the legal, media, banking, and financial industries honing her professional skills.
Ms. Jenkins obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Arts - Print Journalism from Hampton University. She continued her studies at the University of Maryland University College, earning a Master of Science in Business and Marketing.
Throughout her career, Ms. Jenkins has strived to exceed expectations and provide value at every opportunity. She believes in continued education and professional development. Because of her sincere dedication to her work, spirited collaboration, and commendable professionalism, her peers awarded her with Kaiser Permanente’s annual Marketing, Sales, and Business Development Achievement Award in 2011. |

Laura is the president and owner of LaChapelle Communications, where she spends her time honing marketing communications and crafting integrated communications plans. Prior to launching LaChapelle Communications, Laura worked on the client side at various divisions of UnitedHealth Group and at The Daily Record. Even earlier, Laura worked in advertising agencies where she handled the marketing and advertising efforts for such clients as the Baltimore Ravens and Precision Tune Automotive. Laura has earned her APR and has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Loyola University in Maryland as well as a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
Since 2005, Laura has been heavily involved with PRSA - she has been on the Board of Directors for the Maryland Chapter since 2007 (including a stint as President in 2010 and again as Co-President in 2012, and writing their bi-weekly eNewsletter, WebNotes) and currently serves as Chair-Elect of PRSA’s Mid-Atlantic District. She also volunteers with Franklin Square Hospital’s NICU as a parent-to-parent volunteer and as a member of the Hospital’s March of Dimes’ CNAC Committee. She is the mother of two young boys – the reason why you’ll see emails from her at 2 a.m. She enjoys writing fiction (and getting it published), reading (you’ll never find her without her Kindle), running, hiking, camping and, when she conquers her fear of riding a bike downhill, training for and competing in triathlons. Becky Starkey is a Marketing Specialist at Point Breeze Credit Union, a local credit union which offers membership to anyone who works, worships or is a part of any organization within 20 miles of one of their branch locations. Starkey began her career in the sports industry in 2005 interning with the Baltimore Orioles and then becoming the Public Relations Assistant until she began working at Point Breeze in 2006. She has attended PRSA Maryland's monthly professional seminars since she joined in 2010 and was on the 2011 board for PRSA Maryland's Annual Chessie Conference. Becky received her undergraduate degree in Sports Management at York College of Pennsylvania with two minors in Advertising and Marketing in 2005. In addition, she earned a Master's Degree in Communications Management with two certificates in Strategic Public Relations and Leadership and Management Development from Towson University in 2010. Becky enjoys sports and playing Field Hockey as much as possible. She can't resist certain foods including pizza (the good stuff...New York Style), chips and brownies. |

Lisa Miles, APR is the president of Miles Public Relations. Lisa has been a member of PRSA since 2000. In addition to her work with PRSA National, she has served the Maryland Chapter in a variety of roles including assembly delegate and two non-consecutive terms as president (2005 and 2011).
